Cooliris Previews: a free browser add-on that lets you preview links and rich-media without clicking or leaving your current page, so you can browse faster than ever. Simply mouseover your link or the Cooliris icon, and a preview window instantly appears with your content. No more clicking back and forth.
Customize Google: Customize Google is a Firefox extension that enhances Google search results, including features such as streaming Google search result pages, and the removal of unwanted information, such as ads and spam.
Search Everywhere by Paul Komarek: Whichever web page you visit, you can use this tool to search web content linked from the current page. Click the icon in your status bar (a "G" with a chain-link under it) to open or close the search bar. (For use with Firefox.)
ShiftSpace: an open source layer above any webpage, enabling you to leave comments on any webpage for other visitors to see. Takes a little time to get it hooked up, but it's worth it.
